The session is led by Rachel Shaw from Deafinitely Women, a local VCSE organisation led by women with lived experience.
According to the 2021 Census, Derby has the highest population of Deaf people. This workshop will enable your staff or volunteers to learn:
- The importance of being accessible to all deaf people as employees and as customers
- Assistive communication equipment / technological solutions
- The Equality Act 2010, British Sign Language Act 2022, and definitions of disability
