Strategic Advocacy
One of Community Action Derby’s key roles is to advocate for the voluntary sector, and it does this by sitting on a range of local, regional and national strategic boards and steering groups, where it can foster partnership working, develop opportunities, and help our sector thrive.
Community Action's CEO Kim Harper is the appointed representative for the Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise sector. Kim's role is to advocate for the sector, foster collaboration, contribute expertise, provide strategic input, and promote inclusivity.
Community Action sits on a range of important citywide boards, including the City Partnership Board, Health & Wellbeing Board, Place Alliance, and the Sustainability Board.
We sit on a range of health system boards including the Integrated Care Partnership, VCSE Alliance, and the DCC Health & Wellbeing Board.
DDIA is an alliance of voluntary and community sector support agencies working collaboratively to achieve the best possible support for voluntary, community groups and communities in Derby and Derbyshire.
