Shared Light: Spiritual Experience Across and Beyond Faith by Multifaith Centre
The MultiFaith Centre at the University of Derby is supporting Interfaith Week (8-15 November) by hosting several free events. University students, staff and members of the community are invited to join on Monday 9 November at 2pm for a fascinating exploration of spiritual experiences. Dr Marianne Rankin presents.
Based on her book, An Introduction to Religious and Spiritual Experience, Dr Rankin's presentation draws on the experiences of the founders of the world's major religious traditions, as well as accounts from ordinary people today. It considers whether there is a common core to spiritual experience and explores what these experiences might tell us about the existence of God or the possibility of life after death. The presentation will be followed by an opportunity for questions and discussion.
