Volunteer Pathway at St James Centre

Gain a qualification and experience to get a job interview with St James Centre.

Are you interested in working with disabled children or adults, but need qualifications and experience to get a job? Why not try the Volunteer Pathway!

This is how it works:

  • You volunteer with St James Centre for a minimum of 12 hours a week to gain work experience
  • You are supported to achieve a Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification 
  • You are guaranteed an interview as a Support Worker with St James Centre, if you complete the course!
  • You need to be a caring person with a real interest in people to join the diverse and dynamic team. You must be able to pass an enhanced DBS (police check) and give 2 references.

The deadline for applications is 30 August 2026.
