Derby Voluntary Sector Forum - July 2026

It was wonderful to welcome colleagues from across Derby's voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector to our latest Voluntary Sector Forum at the Multi-Faith Centre.

The forum continues to provide a valuable opportunity for organisations to come together, hear about local developments, share ideas and build new connections. With so much happening across the sector, these conversations are more important than ever.

The morning included an update from Community Action Derby on our training programme and support for local groups, followed by an overview from our CEO, Kim Harper, on the current landscape for the voluntary sector and the opportunities and challenges ahead.

We also heard from a fantastic range of local organisations, including Derby Carers Information, Advice and Support Service, Cosy Foundation, Disability Direct and We Thrive Beyond Trauma, each sharing the inspiring work they are doing to support Derby's communities. The open networking session gave everyone the chance to exchange updates, explore opportunities for collaboration and make new connections.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, contributed to the discussions and helped make the morning such a positive and engaging event. It's always encouraging to see so many organisations willing to share knowledge, support one another and work together for the benefit of our communities.

If you would like to be notified when bookings open for our next Voluntary Sector Forum, subscribe to our newsletter, follow us on Eventbrite, or keep an eye on our website and social media channels for updates. We look forward to seeing you there!
