Introducing Warm Welcome Wednesdays: Celebrating Derby's Warm Welcome Hubs

Across Derby, over 40 Community Action Derby-supported Warm Welcome Hubs open their doors every week, offering warmth, food, support and a friendly face to anyone who needs one.

But the real impact goes far beyond food and warmth. It's about friendships formed, confidence built and people finding a place where they feel they belong.

That's why we're launching Warm Welcome Wednesdays, a new weekly campaign celebrating the people, community organisations and everyday moments that make our Warm Welcome Hubs so special.

Every Wednesday, we'll be shining a light on the incredible work of our Warm Welcome Hub partners, sharing stories from across the city and highlighting the difference these welcoming spaces make to local communities.

Because behind every Warm Welcome is a person, a story and a community that cares.

Supporting communities across Derby

Working in partnership with Derby City Council, Community Action Derby administers grants and provides ongoing support to help local organisations run Warm Welcome Hubs and support their communities.

Through this programme, local community organisations are helping people connect with others, access support and feel part of their community.
