Save The Date: Tuesday 20 October 2026 - Derby Refugee Housing Summit

We'd like to share information about an upcoming Refugee Housing Summit Event, organised by The New Arrivals Alliance and the first of its kind in Derby.

Co-creating local solutions to refugee homelessness.

Please add Tuesday 20 October 2026 to your diary (full day, timings to be confirmed).

Partners will gather together to:

• Develop a shared understanding of housing issues for refugees
• Map out the systems impacting/influencing these issues
• Identify priority challenges
• Co-create actionable, locally relevant solutions

The event will involve those with lived experience of refugee housing and homelessness, housing providers, charities, local authority reps, commissioners and other key sector stakeholders.

We will be hosted by the University of Derby, aligning with their commitment to become a University of Sanctuary (exact venue location to be confirmed).

This will not be a conference talking about the issues, it will be a chance for all relevant partners to come together to map out the current systems and design practical solutions to address this ongoing systemic issue.
