New Normanton Pride in Place Board: £25,000 Community Engagement Fund
The New Normanton Pride in Place Board has allocated £25,000 to support community engagement activities, helping local residents have a greater say in shaping the future of their area.
The funding forms part of a wider £150,000 early investment programme designed to support community engagement, address local priorities and deliver small-scale projects that bring visible benefits to residents across New Normanton.
The Board is encouraging applications from organisations, community groups and local networks with strong connections to New Normanton. The funding aims to help these groups engage residents, strengthen community capacity and deliver positive outcomes for local people.
Under the agreed funding arrangements, applicants can apply for:
- Up to £2,000 for community engagement activities.
- Up to £5,000 for quick win projects that provide tangible benefits to the local community.
Eligible activities may include events, workshops and other opportunities for residents to share their views, identify local priorities and contribute ideas for the future of New Normanton. Quick win projects can help turn community priorities into practical improvements that residents can see and experience.
The funding programme aims to reach a diverse range of communities across New Normanton, ensuring that local people have opportunities to get involved and influence the development of their neighbourhood. Through this early investment, the Board hopes to support activities that build stronger community connections, encourage participation and deliver meaningful benefits for residents.
Organisations, groups and community networks interested in applying are encouraged to review the updated application guidance and consider how their proposed activities could engage residents and support local priorities.
Applicants who would like to discuss a potential project before submitting an application can get in touch for further information.
Completed applications must be submitted by email to Neighbourhoods@derby.gov.uk
