The Breast Feeding Network

Derbyshire County Council and Derbyshire Community Health Services work with The Breastfeeding Network to give mums the best possible chance of reaching their breastfeeding goals.

In Derbyshire, over 70 Breastfeeding Network volunteers provide completely free peer support to families.

The trained peer support volunteers provide emotional support to mothers and families, support mothers with positioning and attachment and signpost parents to up to date information.

Their volunteers who all have breastfeeding experience, help to empower new mothers and help them gain the confidence to breastfeed for as long as they wish.
