International Women’s Day Derby Festival 2026
Join Derby’s biggest annual volunteer-powered women’s liberation event with marching, multicultural performances, empowering speakers, campaigns, film screenings, craftivism, workshops and discussions, showcasing women’s causes, sports and enterprise, and family fun.
You can discover local services, women’s support and social groups, plus you’ll also meet lots of inspiring trailblazers such as women who are firefighters, artists, politicians, footballers, scientists, engineers, business owners, changemakers and stereotype-busters in typically male-dominated fields. Open to all supporters of all genders, families welcome, inclusive, good vibes.
Suggested donation of £3 per adult or whatever you can give according to your comfort/struggle. Free if you need it to be. Kids go free.

Friday 6 March
- Feminist Friday Open Mic - 7:00pm – 10:30pm at Derby West Indian Community Association, DE1 2ND
An evening of live performances, open mic contributions, socialising and disco. Come along to share your voice, support others and connect with the community.
Saturday 7 March
- Women’s Rights March - 11:00am outside Museum of Making, DE1 3AF.
Stand in solidarity and make your voice heard at Derby’s Women’s Rights March. Gather and finish outside the Museum of Making. - Community Celebration - 12:00pm – 4:00pm at the Museum of Making.

- Stalls, causes and support organisations
- Workshops and panels
- Multicultural celebrations
