Free Mental Health First Aid course - starting on 13 October 2025

Bookings are now open for the next Derby City Adult Mental Health First Aid course - free to anybody aged 18+ who lives, works, or volunteers in Derby (but is not employed by Derby City Council).

This course usually gets booked up quickly, so you are advised to book ASAP if interested!

The Mental Health First Aid Adult course teaches you how to identify, understand and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue. It's suitable for individuals who may be in contact with adults who may have emotional distress, be at higher risk of mental health difficulties, and who have experience of mental health problems.

The virtual course consists of 4 live sessions, and all 4 sessions must be attended to complete the course. The dates/times of the sessions are:

  • 13 October 2025 at 9am to 1pm
  • 16 October 2025 at 9am to 1pm
  • 20 October 2025 at 9am to 1pm
  • 23 October 2025 at 9am to 1pm
