Derby Deaf Carers Connect Workshop

Monday, 11 May 2026, 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM

Community Action Derby, 30 Charnwood Street, Derby DE12GU

A workshop for carers/people with responsibility for another adult, who are Deaf BSL users, deaf, or hard-of-hearing.

Your experience can help improve support for carers in Derby.

Carers are important, but many carers do not get the support they need. This includes Deaf BSL users, deaf and hard-of-hearing people, and carers from all communities.

Derby Carers Connect is working with Derby City Council and local services to improve support.

Join us to:

  • Share experiences
  • Talk about problems getting support
  • Look at barriers (for example, communication and access)
  • Work together
  • Agree on simple ideas and next steps

BSL interpreters will be available.

A light lunch will be provided - please indicate any dietary requirements when you book.
