Firefighter: Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service

Want to know more about the role of a Firefighter? DFRS is running sessions for you to find out more & have a go at the role.

Anyone (aged 18+) can attend a Have a Go session, and Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service encourages people of all backgrounds, genders, communities and disabled people to consider a career as a firefighter.  

At these sessions, you can:

  • Have a go at some of the activities involved in the role of a firefighter
  • Discover more about the diverse role of a firefighter
  • Find out about the recruitment process

Places are limited and preference will be given to those from under-represented groups. It is intended that Have a Go sessions will run regularly, providing an opportunity for all to attend.
