Derby Community Lottery celebrates first £2,000 winner, just months after £25,000 jackpot win!

We’re thrilled to announce that the Derby Community Lottery celebrated its first £2,000 winner in March!

Derby West End Bowls & Croquet Club, the good cause supported by the winner, said:

"We are delighted to hear that one of our supporters has won £2,000 on the Derby Community Lottery. As we only joined the Lottery at the beginning of the year, this is wonderful news and shows that a £1 weekly donation to the cause is well worth it.

We set up our account to help raise funds for our club, supporting everything from maintaining our wonderful greens and grounds, to equipment and ongoing projects that help us welcome more members and visitors. Getting involved was simple, and our committee felt there were no downsides to signing up.

If you are involved in a group that you consider a ‘good cause’, we would encourage you to take a look at the Derby Community Lottery website. Your cause can benefit, and so can your supporters."

This latest win comes just months after the Lottery’s first £25,000 jackpot winner in December. Launched in September 2024, the Derby Community Lottery raises money directly for local good causes while giving players the chance to win big prizes.

Any not-for-profit group working in Derby, or benefiting its residents, is welcome to get involved. For every £1 ticket sold, 50p goes directly to the chosen cause, with a further 10p supporting a Central Fund that benefits the wider community.
