Spotlight on: Umbrella Derby & Derbyshire
This week’s Spotlight On features Umbrella Derby & Derbyshire!
Umbrella provides support for disabled children, young adults, and their families. It has been operating since 1986 and has centres at Umbrella House in Mackworth and The Annie Hall Centre in Derby.
They offer a wide range of services for the entire family whether it’s a youth club, one-to-one support, family support group, or siblings club, Umbrella has something for everyone in the family.
They support children and adults aged up to 30 with any additional needs, including physical, sensory, learning and behavioural disabilities. Umbrella services are person centred to meet individual needs. Anyone can refer a child or young person to Umbrella including families, social workers, teachers and youth workers.
The funds that Umbrella raise through the lottery will contribute towards their fundraising target. They use the money to cover running costs, buy equipment, subsidise trips, run youth clubs, family support sessions, and much more.
