Sporting Communities Paid Coaches Project

Paid sports coaches from black, Asian, minority ethnic groups and refugees are hugely under-represented in the UK with the majority being unpaid volunteers.

Sport England have recently provided funding for Sporting Communities to conduct a 12 month project to learn why this is the case and find out how we can encourage more black, Asian, minority ethnic groups and refugee individuals into paid coaching.

If you have any unpaid coaches, or players/athletes who would like to become involved in paid coaching, Sporting Communities would like to invite them to apply to be involved in their Coach Development Research Project.

Click here for more information, the criteria for being involved, the commitments and what the coaches will gain together with an application form.

Sporting Communities is also looking for voluntary mentors who are willing to support these coaches on their journey. If you feel that you could offer a supportive ear, then get in touch.

For more information or to apply to the project email or call 07907642357.
