Date and Time: First Wednesday of the month, 10:30am - 12:00pm

Location: Better Together Cafe, Council House, Corporation Street, Derby DE1 2FS

Our Social Prescribing Team runs Social Prescribing Coffee Mornings at several locations across Derby. We now have a new location to add to the list!

Social prescribing is a person centred approach focusing on what matters to you. We can support with signposting and accessing organisations and services that could benefit your
current situation. This could include (but is not limited to):

  • Loneliness and isolation
  • Mental health
  • Community services
  • Benefits
  • Debt management
  • Volunteering
  • Housing.

For more information about the coffee morning at this location, please email Social Prescriber Link Worker Rosa Parry at rosa.parry@communityactionderby.org.uk

The Social Prescribing Team also has Social Prescribing Coffee Mornings running at:

  • The Pakistan Community Centre
  • Streatham Road Community Centre (Mackworth)
  • Mrs C's Tea Cosy (Littleover)
  • Chester Green Community Room
  • Bramblebrook Community Centre (Stockbrook)
  • Sinfin Moor Allotments
  • Better Together Cafe, Council House (Derby)

For more information about the other coffee mornings please visit our Events page.

If you work with people who would benefit from meeting a Social Prescriber Link Worker (SPLW) then you can introduce them at these regular events. The events could also help you build good relationships with the SPLW and perhaps offer a taster in the space or a chance to speak with people about what you offer, if appropriate and people are interested in what you deliver in the community.
