Derby Safeguarding Adults Board is taking part in the National Safeguarding Adults Week – 18 to 24 November 2019 - and is delivering a number of briefings covering the following areas:
- Mental Capacity Briefing
- Liberty Protection Safeguards
- Modern Slavery
- Domestic Abuse
- Safeguarding Forensics
- Safeguarding Adults in Sport and Activity
- Transforming Care
- Making Safeguarding Personal
We are delighted that this year the briefings are open to community leaders and practitioners within the community and voluntary sector. This is a great opportunity to expand your horizons and understanding of these critical areas of work. IMPORTANT – PARKING & TRAVEL INFORMATION
Please note there is NO PARKING at the venue. There is on street parking; however this is limited as it is a residential area. Please be aware that parking at the district centre is limited to 2 hours. If you are able to please use the large free car park next to JD Gym and Allenton Market. St Martins is only a short 6 minute walk (0.3 miles) from this car park. If you are unable to walk this distance, and choose on street parking, please show courtesy to the local residents when parking. Drivers will be able to drop off and collect passengers outside St Martins.
Bus Services: Arriva operate services approximately every 20 minutes from Derby Bus Station from Bay Stands 15 & 18, which stops at The Mitre or Bingham Street respectively. Average journey time is 15 minutes.
Walking directions: JD Gym/Allenton Market to St Martins Church & Community Centre. 0.3 Miles – 6 minute walk.
