Promote your organisation at Safeguarding Adults Week event

Text: National Safeguarding Adults Week 2019 on green background

National Safeguarding Adults Week is taking place w/c 18th November 2019 and Derby Safeguarding Adults Board and its partners are delivering daily briefings throughout the week at St Martins Church & Community Centre in Allenton on a variety of different themes.  The briefings will each attract different staff and volunteers, councillors and community leaders and CVS practitioners.  There is also an Afternoon Digni-Tea event on the Thursday 21st 1-3.30pm which is also open to the public and aims to attract 120 people.  This is therefore a great opportunity to promote your service!

Option 1

All Week - Stalls can be set up between 9am-10am on Monday 18th November, and be left in situ throughout the week.  I will be calling in daily on the way home so can tidy displays and replenish with leaflets/goodies etc. – simply leave a supply under the table.  This option will give you the added reach of all those attending the briefings throughout the week.  It would be advisable but not essential staff the stall during the Afternoon Digni-tea event.

Option 2

‘Stay Safe Market Place’ – Afternoon Digni-Tea Event - Thursday 21st November.  Please arrive and set your stall up between 11am-1230pm. The event starts at 1pm and finishes at 3.30pm.  Due to the expected numbers it would be advisable to staff the stall – however this is not essential.

The briefings cover the following themes.

  • Mental Capacity Briefing
  • Liberty Protection Safeguards
  • Modern Slavery
  • Self-Neglect
  • Domestic Abuse
  • Safeguarding Forensics
  • Safeguarding Adults in Sport and Activity
  • Transforming Care
  • Making Safeguarding Personal

To book a stall or for more information email Carl Tring-Willis with your preferred option.
