QUAD Derby, in partnership with Community Action Derby, is holding a series of FREE drop-in digital workshops for people aged fifty and above, following a popular pilot programme earlier in the year. 'Intergenerational Digital' sessions start on 16 May in QUAD.
Ideal for those who find modern digital devices confusing, have a new digital device and want to learn more or have some general questions about the role of digital in society, the Intergenerational Digital sessions are a chance to gain an insight into tablet and smart phone devices, websites, the internet and apps. These free weekly sessions will be devised around specific subjects, but there will be a chance for questions and insights.
The sessions will be facilitated by young people from Horizons Sixth Form and Lees Brook Community School who will take the lead in demonstrating and answering questions around different digital focus areas each week. The sessions are open to anyone aged fifty and above to join young people to learn and develop their digital knowledge and skills. The sessions are presented by Community Action Derby.
The Intergenerational Digital sessions will take place in QUAD Digital Studio every Wednesday (excluding school holidays) from 16 May between 1:15pm and 2:15pm. The workshops are free to attend.
