Foodbanks in Derby and Covid 19

During the current Covid 19 crisis one of the key elements of support is providing people with food. The Derby Covid Community Response Hub is coordinating food donations with people who need food supplies.

To comply with the current restrictions on movement, and to minimise the spread of infection, several Local Food Distribution Hubs have been identified to simplify the process. Existing food banks will still continue to support people who they know are in need.

If you, or someone you know, is in need of food please call the helpline - Derby Direct on 01332 640000 or email Covid Support.
Please note the helpline is open 9:30am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

If you would like to donate food we ask that you donate to family, friends or neighbours living locally to you to minimise unnecessary travel and the risk of infection that this could bring. If you don’t have anyone to donate food to locally then contact your local foodbank or email Covid Support or call 01332 640000 who will be able to tell you where your nearest foodbank is.

If you would like to make a financial donation to the Derby Covid Community Response Hub to help with the supply of food and support please email Covid Support or call 01332 640000.
