First Steps Derby needs your vote!

First Steps

First Steps Eating Disorders is the only charity working with all ages, adults, children and young people across Derbyshire to provide support to people suffering from eating difficulties and eating disorders.

Last year First Steps started a pilot with Derby University to delivery its eating disorders in student services (EDISS) at the Buxton Campus to young people taking a vocational education route, and following local demand have extended work with the student welfare team to continue for a further year.

First Steps have also established positive links with a couple of schools in Buxton and the High Peak and are also providing one-to-one support for younger students in our schools.

"The young people and parents and families that we have supported told us how difficult it is for rural communities to get support and access health and support services which are typically located in large towns, we have therefore decided to take ‘First Steps Eating Disorders on the Road’ and bidding for a small number of £25,000 grants through the Aviva Community Fund and would be grateful to secure your votes and support.
