Derbyshire Wildlife Trust Youth Panel

Picture of fox

Derbyshire Wildlife Trust has 10 places available for 18-25 year olds in Derby to help shape the way the Trust connects with young people.

As part of its work in Derby City Derbyshire Wildlife Trust would like to set up a new youth panel for young people aged 18-25 to become engaged in DWT’s work. This group will meet initially at our shop in Sadler Gate in the evening. This group will be a focus group for us to gain young people’s opinions on aspects of our work.   We are looking for committed volunteers who have an interest in conservation, wildlife and climate issues to take part in the group and feedback their ideas to Derbyshire Wildlife Trust’s Board of Trustees.   Main duties will be to attend regular youth panel meetings, support the group to design their own activities and future sessions and liaise with DWT staff on issues that may require consultation e.g. social media, youth engagement, climate change.

Tell us in no more than 250 words why we should have you as part of our panel.  Email: Derbyshire Wildlife Trust with a brief outline of your ideas, thoughts and experiences on nature, wildlife and climate.  Closing Date: Friday 29 November

A love of wildlife is essential  however an in-depth knowledge is not necessary.
