Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Derby Wellbeing Collaborative in November, including representatives from the NHS, Derby City Council, groups from Derby’s VCSE sector, and individuals with lived experience.
We were pleased to welcome Derbyshire Mind, who gave a presentation about the support they provide, including their Rookie Runners group, Mindful Crafts group and Movement and Mindfulness sessions. If you’d like to find out more about these, or other free mental health support from Derbyshire Mind, please click here.
As you may know, this was the final Derby Wellbeing Collaborative event organised by Community Action Derby. Earlier this year, the Derby Wellbeing project went out for tender and was awarded to Citizens Advice Mid Mercia (CAMM), to whom we extend our congratulations.
To celebrate the project’s achievements, we heard from several partners and individuals who shared their experiences of being part of Derby Wellbeing. Their contributions highlighted the project’s impact in bringing people together, providing person-centred support, and most importantly, ensuring that the voices of those with lived experience were front and centre.
From 1 December 2024, the Derby Wellbeing project has officially been handed over to CAMM. They’ve confirmed that the Collaborative will continue to meet from January 2025 on the same day (the last Tuesday of each month) and at the same venue (DWICA). For further details, please contact CAMM directly.
We’re incredibly proud of what the Derby Wellbeing team has built and achieved over the past two years. A huge thank you to them, and to everyone who has been part of the journey. If you would like more information about what we achieved with Derby Wellbeing, you can read the Derby Wellbeing Collaborative Report here.
As we draw this chapter to a close, we’re looking forward to a well-deserved rest over the Christmas break and the opportunity to take on new challenges in the new year!
