The Holiday Activities and Food Programme supports children and families on low incomes over the school holidays.
It aims to provide a nutritious meal, promote physical activity and offer enriching activities to eligible children for four hours a day, four days a week as follows:
- for one week of the Easter school holidays
- for four weeks of the summer school holiday period and
- for one week of the winter school holidays.
We are now looking for organisations that can deliver HAF Clubs over Summer 2025 and Winter 2025-26. There will be no further grants allocated in 2025.
The funding can enable local groups to provide holiday activities and food to school-aged children from Reception to Year 11 who are eligible for benefits related to free school meals in Derby.
This fund is open to schools, the voluntary sector and private providers.
