DE23 Active (formally known as Active Through Football Derby) is a five-year project funded by the National Lottery and supported by the Football Foundation and Sport
England to help get the local community of Normanton and Arboretum physically active, focusing on three main groups - Women, Men and the Golden Generation.
The project aims to:
- Increase opportunities to access physical activity in a safe and comfortable environment
- Aid regeneration of open spaces and provide opportunities for training and development.
- Empower residents to enable positive change in their communities
- Enable residents to work together with a shared interest.
