Community Links is a not-for-profit organisation supporting people with learning disabilities with day-time opportunities.
Our customers are planning to set up a coffee morning at Community Links one day a week. The idea is to start with selling bric-a-brac, drinks and snacks and to invite in the public. Customers and staff have lots of ideas on how to develop what is on offer and make it more interesting to attend.
We are looking for donations of good quality bric-a-brac which customers could sell. We may be able to come and collect donated items or alternatively they can be dropped off at 11-12 The Spot, Osmaston Road, Derby DE1 2JA.
We are hoping this will be a great opportunity to support people with learning disabilities to run their own community project. We would like to develop our skills and experience and work towards our long-term goal of setting up a training café as well as other enterprises for people with learning disabilities.
