We are thrilled to introduce Tony Henriques as one of our newest Peer Support Workers for the Derby Wellbeing team!
Tony is no stranger to Community Action, having previously worked with us as a Link Worker for the Social Prescribing team.
Tony, who is originally from Leeds, has lived in Derby since 2006 and has a wealth of experience in helping people, through a wide range of employment roles.
Tony has many hobbies ranging from making and listening to music, to reading and cooking. He tells us that if he was on Come Dine With Me his menu would be: Lemon pepper chicken wings or fried plantain to start, followed by Jamaican Brown Stew Chicken with vegetables, homemade coleslaw and fried dumplings, or a vegan caribbean rice bowl with coconut scotch bonnet pepper sauce for the main course. For dessert, he would serve a rum and coconut cake with vanilla or banana ice cream.
Tony said: "We turn obstacles into stepping stones at Community Action, we want to see action within the community".
Welcome back Tony, we hope we get an invite to your next dinner party!
