Community Noticeboard

The Community Noticeboard (formally Community Classifieds) is the place to offer and request support and services, resources and equipment. Do you have any services or resources that you would like to share with other voluntary and community groups? Spare furniture or equipment? Training or advice? Or is there something you need? Or would like to swap? If you have anything you would like to share, swap or give away, please email us!

Free Yamaha Baby Grand Piano

We have been contacted by an individual who has a Yamaha Baby Grand Piano GC1 model that they would like to give away to someone who is a passionate lover of the instrument, or any charities or voluntary groups that might be interested.

The instrument is being offered for free, but you must be willing to pay for it to be delivered from its current storage location in Belfast. We have been informed that the movers can deliver it anywhere and that their rates are reasonably affordable.

The piano is about 3 years old and in an impeccable condition. The dimensions are 161cm by 149cm. It was last tuned two months ago.

You can view some photos of the piano here

If you are interested, please contact Debbie Magoffin at dmagoffin@outlook.com

Free painting, renovating, or clearing available for community groups / centres

Workpays is an education training provider that is looking for any community groups/centres or organisations that could do with some painting, renovating, or clearing.

They have students that need some work experience and some learners have just completed their construction qualification. If there is painting to be done they ask that the group purchase the materials and the students will provide the free labour. The students are flexible with availability, depending on what the work is and could offer days or a number of weeks.

If you are interested, contact Kooner Singh, Operations Manager. Call 07964 396781 or email kooner@workpays.co.uk. For more info about Workpays, visit their website.

Derbyshire Wildlife Trust seeks community groups to work with on flood management and woodland creation

Derbyshire Wildlife Trust is looking for community groups to work together with on Natural Flood Management and woodland creation in their local area.

They want to connect with community groups and local groups to support them to incorporate natural flood management and woodland creation into what they do and to hopefully enable them to participate in these activities.

There are a number of ways they can support and work with groups, from offering training, support, attending events, education materials, toolkits etc.

If you would like to discuss how you could possibly work together, please contact George Jones, Wilder Communities Officer via email at: gjones@derbyshirewildlifetrust.co.uk
