In response to the coronavirus, the Heritage Fund launched a £50 million mergency fund to support people and organisations working in heritage across the UK. Now in its second phase, additional funding of between £50,000 and £250,000 will be available to past and current grantees to cover essential costs for up to four months. This might include independent heritage attractions that are highly dependent on visitor income, contributions towards increasing digital activities, and testing new activities to help recovery. The aim of the fund is to provide support for exceptional cases of larger scale and to protect heritage at severe and immediate risk.
