Volunteer Managers Forum

Derby Volunteer Managers Forum is an informal group open to anyone who works in Derby City and is involved in the recruitment and/or management/supervision of volunteers.

The aim of the group is to meet with other volunteer managers/coordinators who work with volunteers, share practice, discuss issues and support each other professionally. The group is a safe space to voice your concerns, ask for advice, share learning, or network with others.

Meetings are informal and interactive – you will hear what is going on around Derby. Guest speakers will be invited to share relevant news and information on their organisations.  There is always time for networking too should you wish. Volunteer management can at times be a lonely role within an organisation so come along ready to share, learn and network!

The next forum will be held on Thursday 5 November at 2pm to 3.30pm. November 5 is International Volunteer Managers' Day and this year’s theme is what’s next for Covid-19 recovery and returning to work/volunteering & Informal Volunteering.

Our initial online Volunteer Managers’ Forum is aiming to be a collaborative space where we will be discussing the changing situation with the Covid-19 crisis, the easing of lockdown measures, and sharing worries and also ideas that are already working within organisations in Derby.
