Community Action and Derby City Council are offering a workshop to provide advice and support to groups interested in applying for funding from the Integrated Communities Innovation Fund.
We are particularly keen to explore how groups could work in partnership bringing together a broad spectrum of expertise to address the key integration challenges in the city. We would also give consideration to the option of a consortia bid led by Derby City Council.
Sport England in partnership with the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government are inviting applications from organisations with innovative ideas including those that encourage integration using sport and physical activity.
The fund will support approaches which address the breadth of factors which can lead to poor integration:
- The level and pace of migration
- School segregation
- Residential segregation
- Labour market disadvantage
- Lack of English language proficiency
- Personal, religious, cultural norms, values and attitudes
- Lack of meaningful social mixing.
For more information visit the Integrated Communities Innovation Fund website.
The workshop will provide information and support to Derby based groups interested in submitting an application.
The deadline for Expressions of Interest is 20 August 2018 at 11:45pm.
