Derbyshire Mind has partnered with Relate and Derbyshire County Council Public Health Department to deliver free workshops on trauma-informed approaches for the voluntary and charity sector.
The workshops will run throughout 2025 and are available to any member of VCSE organisations in Derbyshire or Derby City that provide support to the residents of Derbyshire. No prior knowledge or qualifications are required to attend these workshops.
The aims of these workshops are:
- Enhance your knowledge and skills on what it means to be trauma-informed.
- Provide examples of what a trauma-informed approach looks like.
- Derbyshire Mind will work with you to understand how you might be able to support your organisation and community through being trauma-informed.
Below you can find the dates, times, and locations for the workshops:
- Wednesday 9 April, 9:30am-12:30pm or 1:30pm-4:30pm at University of Derby Enterprise Centre - Derby
- Wednesday 30 April, 9:30am-12:30pm or 1:30pm-4:30pm at Dunston Innovation Centre - Chesterfield

There is also a small bursary opportunity for organisations, following the completion of the workshop to support the implementation of trauma-informed approaches within their workplace.
The only requirement for receiving the funding is the agreement to complete a simple case study, which details how you have used the funding to support your workplace in being trauma-informed. There are a limited number of bursaries available.
