Get Involved in the Signathon!

To celebrate British Sign Language, the British Deaf Association in Derby has organised Signathon, an awareness and fundraising event for everyone! The BDA are looking for groups and individuals to get involved in the Signathon event on Friday 16 March from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and Saturday 17 March from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at St Peter's Street in Derby. The purpose of the event is to bring deaf and hearing communities together to learn and share in the celebration of British Sign Language and also to raise funds for the BDA to continue its work of highlighting the existence of the Deaf Community given that British Sign Language is the fourth most commonly used language in Britain today.
