Headway Support Cafe

Headway Derby has launched a new project funded from the proceeds of the charity's recent black tie charity event. The 'Support Café' will offer a drop-in and advice service from 1pm to 3pm, including help with benefits queries and applications/appeals, together with signposting in relation to brain injuries. From 3pm onwards there will be sessions on a variety of topics such as coping with a brain injury, mindfulness, anger and fatigue management, IT skills, sports and activities, arts and crafts and anything that may be of interest to those attending. Any ideas and suggestions would be welcomed.

The café will run every Thursday from The Coach House, 14 George Street, Derby DE1 1EH, and is free to anyone in Derby, Derbyshire and East Staffordshire who has suffered a brain injury, their families and carers.

For more information about the new service visit the Headway Derby website, email Headway Derby or call 01332 986350.
