Does your organisation work with children or young people aged up to 25 with special needs or disabilities? If so make sure your service or activity is on Derby City's Local Offer.

Derby's Local Offer is a one-stop-shop for children and young people with special educational needs or disabilities and their parents to find out about activities and services in Derby. The on-stop shop offers lots of information from help preparing for adulthood to support with travel choice and finding childcare providers.

Don't miss out. If your organisation works with children and young people aged 0 to 25 with special needs or disabilities make sure your service or activity is listed. Just get in touch with Derby City Council's Families Information Service. For more information about Derby's Local Offer visit www.derby.gov.uk/SENDlocaloffer

The Children's and Families Act 2014 added a new duty to the SEN Code of Practice for Local Authorities from September 2014 and this is being referred to as the 'Local Offer'. Local Authorities must publish, in one place, information about provision they expect to be available in their area for children and young people from 0 to 25 who have Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Derby's Local Offer includes information from help preparing for adulthood to support with travel choice and finding childcare providers. More details are available on the Local Offer page on our website.
