A change in service

Our services to you - a few changes

The funding cuts to Community Action - and all voluntary organisations in the city - mean that we have had to make some changes to the way we deliver our services to you to make sure we offer advice and support at the same level of quality.

With a reduction in staff hours Community Action offices are now closed on Fridays and our normal Monday to Thursday hours are 9:30am to 4pm.

We will continue to offer support to groups on two days a week - Mondays and Wednesdays - on an appointment basis. To make an appointment please email Nila or Liz or call 01332 227738.

The Volunteer Centre will remain open three days a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 4pm. There will be a reduction in the number of Volunteer Co-ordinator Forums (VCF) to three a year and these will be held in spring, autumn and winter - any updates will be sent out between these times. Volunteering Works will be delivered four times a year. The Volunteer Centre will continue to offer support to groups relating to volunteering, policy, procedure and www.do-it.org though it may take a little longer to reply to your enquiry.

As mentioned above this will be the last issue of Reach Out - for news, events and updates please follow us on Twitter - @DerbyCA, like us on Facebook @CommunityActionDerby or check the Community Action website regularly. The Funding Bulletin will still be produced each month and updates on funding will be available on the website and social media.

As always we want to offer you the best service we can with the resources available and want to assure you that although the service may be reduced the quality will be the same. If you have any thoughts or comments or would like to share the ways that your organisation is managing a reduction in funding we'd love to hear from you.
