Training and conference facilities

At our premises on Charnwood Street we have a number of training rooms for hire:

• Training Room One: holds 36 people cabaret style, 50 theatre style
• Training Room Two: holds 8 to 10 people boardroom style
• Training Room Three: holds 8 to 10 people boardroom style  
• Training Rooms Two and Three (combined): holds 18 people boardroom style, 30 theatre style
• Training Room Four (on the first floor, only available during office hours): holds 8 to 10 people boardroom style
• Training Room Five (only available during office hours): holds 8 to 10 people boardroom style

Training room facilities

• Free use of flip chart, whiteboard, multimedia projector with laptop, video, induction loop and panaboard (a whiteboard with a print facility).
• Free flip chart paper (10 sheets).
  We can arrange tables and chairs according to your instructions at a charge of £8.00.
• A drinks machine offering tea, coffee and hot chocolate, charged at 25p per cup, which we can add to your invoice.
  Free spring water.
• We can arrange buffets for you.
  Training Rooms One, Two and Three are also available evenings and weekends.
• Training Rooms One, Two, Three and Five are fully accessible for disabled people.
• We also have a room available for hire which is suitable for use as a crèche - please ask for more details.
• Smoking is not permitted anywhere in Derby CVS, including directly outside our offices.

Hire charges

Training Room One
Members: £15.00 per hour or part hour (minimum £30.00)
Non-members: £25.00 per hour or part hour (minimum £50.00)

Training Rooms Two and Three (combined)
Members: £10.00 per hour or part hour (minimum £20.00)
Non-members: £17.50 per hour or part hour (minimum £35.00)

Training Rooms Two, Three or Four
Members: £6.00 per hour or part hour (minimum £12.00)
Non-members: £10.00 per hour or part hour (minimum £20.00)

Training Room Five
Members: £6.00 per hour or part hour (minimum £12.00)
Non-members: £10.00 per hour or part hour (minimum £20.00)

Block bookings

For block bookings costing over £500 we offer a 10% discount. If you cancel any of the individual bookings and the overall price drops below £500 you will lose the discount.

Cancellation fees

If you decide to cancel your room booking please let us know as soon as possible. If we receive: less than one week's notice you will be charged the full cost of the room hire; between one and four weeks' notice you will be charged 50% of the cost of the room hire; four weeks' notice or more there will be no charge.
