Derby City and Neighbourhood Partnerships?
From April 2011, Derby City Partnership has become part of the newly formed Derby City and Neighbourhood Partnerships under one Director, Karen Johnson - formerly of the Community Safety Partnership.
This follows the merging of the Derby City Council teams that have historically supported Derby City Partnership, the Community Safety Partnership and neighbourhood management.
The joining together of the three sections provides opportunities for closer working, particularly for delivering The Derby Plan at a neighbourhood level.
The Derby Plan
The Derby Plan 2011-2026 has now been published! This plan aims to improve life in Derby and states by 2026 all people in Derby will enjoy:
• A thriving sustainable economy
• Achieving their learning potential
• Good health and well-being
• Being safe and feeling safe
• A strong community
• An active cultural life
There will be five Outcome Boards and each board will be accountable for delivering the indicators under that outcome. This is with the exception of the Safe and Strong Communities Board which will be accountable for the indicators from two of the outcomes above; Being Safe and Feeling Safe and A Strong Communitiy.
Leadership Board
The Leadership Board works at the centre of the partnership, maintaining the vision and providing the strategic overview. It meets four times a year and has four places available for Voluntary and Community Sector representatives through the Voluntary Sector Leadership Group. For previous minutes click here.
